Assistant Athletic Trainer

Our two campuses are located in Aurora, Illinois and on the shores of Geneva Lake in Wisconsin. We seek people passionately involved in the educational process who will help us realize our vision.Position The assistant athletic trainer works under the supervision of the head athletic trainer and supervises the care of student-athletes competing in Auroras athletic program. The assistant athletic trainer is responsible for the injury prevention, evaluation, management and treatment of athletic injuries, rehabilitation of injuries and education of student-athletes within the universitys comprehensive sports medicine program. This is a full-time, ten month position.Responsibilities:Providing prevention, evaluation, and treatment of athletic injuries and illnesses Providing counseling and education to student-athletes Record keeping and documentation Work with doctors and other allied health professionals to deliver care to student-athletesWork as an ACI with our accredited Athletic Training Education ProgramMinimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree in appropriate area of specialization with professional experience in collegiate athletics. Masters degree preferred.Certified by the National Athletic Trainers Associate Board of Certification (NATOBOC)Illinois Athletic Training Licensure Familiarity with NCAA Rules Position start date is 1 August 2011.
