The 2011 Competition is sponsored by the AYCO under Direct Help for Armenian People (DHAP) and is conducted with the assistance of an Advisory Panel of outstanding musicians, educators and intellectuals.

The goal and mission of this organization is to encourage artistic expression of Armenian culture by showcasing the innate talents of many young adults well versed in the fine performing arts.

Applicants interested in participating in this music competition must submit their applications and a CD/DVD/VHS of their audition performance no later than January 30, 2011.

One of the projects the organization plans to sponsor is its gala musical concert scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 29, 2011, Kaufman Center's Merkin Concert Hall in New York City at 2:00 PM. The event is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Declaration of Armenian Independence.

The program will feature instrumental and vocal talents in three age categories. Two auditions monitored by judges will precede the concert as detailed in the attached application. Those eligible for the second audition, which will take place on February 6, 2011 at St. Vartan Cathedral, NYC at 12:00 PM, will move on to the final performance which will be promoted in the media.

In addition to the opportunity to appear on the prestigious Hall stage, the finalists will be granted honorary and monetary awards.
