The famed Armenian art exhibit and dance was held on Saturday, May 21st in New York’s Soho district at the Puck Building (Lafayette and Houston Streets). The Artists’ Ball is one of the most eagerly anticipated springtime events in the New York City Armenian community, drawing artists and patrons from the U.S., Canada and Armenia.

Happy Hour and Back-to-School Drive hosted by NY ASA and St. Vartan’s Cathedral September 2004 NY ASA Happy Hour and Back-to-School Drive
The New York ASA and St. Vartan’s Cathedral hosted a happy hour and “Back-to-School” drive on the plaza of St. Vartan’s Cathedral. The ASA collected items to be sent to Armenia to help support schools that are in need of additional supplies and materials.

Opening up new possibilities, the program provides a great and exciting way to work in an expatriate capacity in a different business culture, allowing for development of greater flexibility in a professional environment. During their internship in Armenia, the participants will have an opportunity to work in competitive local and international companies present in Armenia.

2004 Awards Ceremony 2004 Awards Ceremony
The Armenian Students' Association, Inc. (ASA) of America (ASA) held its "Awards Ceremony 2004" at St. Leon Armenian Church in Fair Lawn, New Jersey on Saturday, September 25th. The ASA conferred honors for professional achievement to four awardees: Sahan Arzruni (Boyan Award for Humanities), Dr. Vahakn Dadrian (Dadian Armenian Heritage Award), Dr. John Autian (Kabakjian Science Award) and Julie Ashekian (Sarafian Citizenship Award).

The New York Armenian Students' Association Artists' Ball has consistently been the blockbuster event of season for the tri-state area Armenian community for over 50 years. The first ball took place on May 22, 1948 at the Roosevelt Hotel's Grand Ballroom. With only one exception, the Artists' Ball has been the annual affair where Armenian art commingling with a dazzling social occasion is the area's most anticipated and most memorable event year after year.
