NY ASA Begins Artist Search for Artists' Ball

he New York Armenian Students’ Association cordially invites Armenian artists to apply to exhibit artwork at its annual Artists’ Ball. This year’s celebration, which marks the event’s 58th anniversary, will take place on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at the Puck Building in Manhattan’s Soho district.

NEW YORK, NY – The New York Armenian Students’ Association cordially invites Armenian artists to apply to exhibit artwork at its annual Artists’ Ball.  This year’s celebration, which marks the event’s 58th anniversary, will take place on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at the Puck Building in Manhattan’s Soho district.

 

The famed gala showcases artworks by Armenian artists in the setting of a grand ball with music and dancing.  As in years past, a portion of the event’s proceeds will be donated to Armenian charitable causes, including the ASA’s Scholarship Fund, which grants educational assistance to undergraduate students of Armenian descent.

 

Artist applications are available right now by going directly to the ASA Web site, http://www.asainc.org/newyork/artistsball/.  To apply, artists must complete an application and return it to the ASA postmarked by no later than MONDAY, MARCH 26, 2007.  (All applications postmarked with a later date will not be accepted.  In addition, the ASA requests that applications not be sent by certified mail or signature required.)  Once the deadline to submit has passed, all applications would be reviewed by a committee of professional artists.  Shortly thereafter, those applicants selected for the June 16th show would be contacted directly by the committee.
