Armenian Students Association Plans Centennial
The Armenian Students Association of America, Inc. (ASA), the oldest continuing American-Armenian youth organization, founded June 23-25, 1910, has announced the establishment of a 100th Anniversary Commemoration Committee.
Chaired by George S. Yacoubian, Sr., of Pennsylvania, a devoted member and former chair of the ASA board of trustees, the committee has begun preparations for a national reunion and celebration in 2010. Two site committees have been appointed to investigate appropriate facilities in the Mid Atlantic and New England regions. Booklet, publicity and fundraising committees have also been established.
